Do You Know Sojos?

IMG_1430

There are lots of cat treats on the market, and if you’ve read the Optimal Nutrition Page on this site you’ll see lots of the “ingredients to avoid” in those products.  Therefore, it’s so refreshing to be able to give you a recommendation for cat treats that I can actually endorse and feel good about!

Sojos is a small, family owned company that is dedicated to truly healthy, natural, raw-diet based nutrition for pets.  They are one of the pioneers of using raw, dehydrated foods and meats in their products.  They make their products using human grade food from scratch in small batches, with no GMO ingredients, no ingredients from China, no fillers or preservatives, and absolutely nothing artificial.  The gentle freeze-dried process locks in enzymes, vitamins and minerals.  These treats are simply freeze-dried pieces of meat that cats can’t resist!  I should know–my cats absolutely love them!  They come in 3 flavors:  Venison Liver, Turkey Liver, and Salmon.  I hope someday they’ll come out with more products for cats.  Currently they only offer one grain-free cat food mix with freeze-dried turkey and a blend of fruits and vegetables.  They primarily make foods and treats for dogs–of course–so cat parents like us need to keep asking great companies like this to come up with more options for the kitties who live in the dogs’ world!

You can check out their website here and find a location where you can get these delicious treats here.  I’ll also be carrying these in my online store which is coming soon!
