Healing Aylen With A Complimentary Approach
This past week I was given opportunities to use multiple tools from my holistic toolkit. In fact, her care involved a combination of holistic and conventional therapies. This complimentary approach to her healing ended up including homeopathy, natural and herbal supplements, animal communication, iridology, Western medicine, energy healing sessions and muscle testing. Signs of illness […]

A Conversation With Aylen
This past week I did an interactive animal communication with my cat Aylen and Nina, a communicator here at Purrrfectly Holistic. It had been many months since her previous session, and there were several different questions I wanted to ask her. These included her fear of the neighbors’ dogs, her frequent aversion to the raw […]

Energy Insights June 2023
Energy Insights was back! The energy was a bit odd today but still a lot of fun. What did these cats have to share with their guardians? One cat had some heat to shift; the universe had a message for one pet parent; another cat felt really anxious and needed root chakra support, and much […]

Energy Insights January 2023

Remembering Lili
One of the most difficult things about having fur kids is when it’s time to say goodbye. This past week we had to say goodbye to our 15 year old Tonkinese, Lili. Today I honor her memory with a look back. Finding Lili Back in 2006 we went to a local cat show with the […]

Making Sense of Unexpected Loss
Our cats are family members, and when they pass away unexpectedly the shock can send cat parents’ minds in many directions. Unexpected loss of our fur babies can leave us with feelings of guilt, inadequacy, sorrow, and self doubt. What did I do to cause this? Is there something else I could have done to […]

TNR For A Feral Cat Using A Holistic Approach
In the summer of 2018 a feral cat started showing up in the vicinity of my house. Unbeknownst to me at the time I later learned our neighborhood had a TNR program (trap, neuter, return) for neighborhood feral cats. This kitty was different somehow. Filled with sadness, it was his eyes that got to me. He […]

Speaking With Animals
Life has a funny way of getting our attention at times, doesn’t it? Perhaps in ways we don’t expect or circumstances that are extremely painful. Ironically, it is in those times we learn the most–about ourselves and about life. There is an old Chinese proverb that says, “When the student is ready the teacher appears.” […]

Helping A Feral Cat: Jarvis’ Story
Have you ever encountered a feral cat who was injured and needed help? A couple of weeks ago I was finally able to get a closer look at our furry orange neighbor. He had the saddest eyes I’ve ever seen. I saw several red, open wounds around his neck. Some of the open wounds were partially covered in black, including inside one of his ears. The right side of his face was swollen as if a golf ball was inside his cheek. My heart broke for him!
