Itchy Cats

Today we’re sharing our best tips for helping itchy cats! Is your cat struggling with this?

First of all, it’s always a good idea to have your kitty checked by a vet. Based on what is determined as the cause, you can explore using more natural ways to address this.

Some of the most common causes of itchy cats include:

  • Parasites
  • Sensitivity to food
  • Environmental chemicals, fragrances, and household cleaners
  • Flame retardants
  • Environmental allergens like grasses, trees, weeds, pollens
  • Vaccines

Perhaps an often overlooked cause of itching can be emotional stress and energy from the environment. Itching or scratching can be a sign of shifting energy. This is why it’s so important that we as cat parents always be aware of the energy we are contributing to the problem.

There are tests you can have run to determine what your cat may be sensitive to including the Ucari Intolerance testing kit for pets and Dr. Jean Dodd’s Nutriscan. Finally, we also discussed some of our favorite natural ways to help relieve itching.

Deanna is amazing. I’ve had Reiki done before, and her Reiki is on another level! Besides her skills and the value that you get out of the sessions, I appreciate how caring Deanna is. She checked up on me several times and went above and beyond to give helpful tips and insights. Such a beautiful soul and so glad to have found her. If you have had Reiki with others before, and want to see what a more powerful session is like…or are skeptical about it, I highly encourage you to try Deanna.”
