Help For Skin Rashes In Cats: Bi Nai’s Story
Probably best known for being hairless, the Sphynx breed of cat is full of personality. They are very friendly, affectionate, enjoy being the center of attention, and tend to follow their owners around like dogs. Back in October 2018 I was contacted by cat mom, Eve, regarding her Sphynx cat, Bi Nai. He’s an indoor […]

TNR For A Feral Cat Using A Holistic Approach
In the summer of 2018 a feral cat started showing up in the vicinity of my house. Unbeknownst to me at the time I later learned our neighborhood had a TNR program (trap, neuter, return) for neighborhood feral cats. This kitty was different somehow. Filled with sadness, it was his eyes that got to me. He […]

Helping A Feral Cat: Jarvis’ Story
Have you ever encountered a feral cat who was injured and needed help? A couple of weeks ago I was finally able to get a closer look at our furry orange neighbor. He had the saddest eyes I’ve ever seen. I saw several red, open wounds around his neck. Some of the open wounds were partially covered in black, including inside one of his ears. Being a vigilant cat parent and noticing a change in behavior, eating, or litter box habits is crucial when it comes […]

Shortly after she was diagnosed with an ear infection. It wasn’t long after that she started to itch and scratch her ears and eye areas, even developing feline acne. Thus began a year long journey of vet visits and numerous attempts to treat Yuri’s symptoms.

Is Your Cat A Picky Eater? This May Be Why
Cats love routine…and they love to eat. It’s super easy for them to train us to dote on their every whim or hunger pang. We eagerly acquiesce to their every need, and there is no better example than a cat who’s a picky eater. If the bowl of food we offer is snubbed how many […]

Help! My Cat Peed On The Bed!
As cat parents it’s up to us to learn how to “read” our cats and truly understand them. When they are happy they show it by head bunting, purring, kneading or “making biscuits,” and wanting to be near you. When they’re not happy they can be very devious. They’ve even figured out the best way to get our attention: peeing on something that’s personal to us.

Seasonal allergies can wreak havoc–not just on people but cats too. Down here in Houston, Texas, allergies due to pollens, mold and pollution can be very problematic. In our household of five cats Rocket is the one who is the most sensitive to all these airborne irritants.

Food Sensitivities And Food Allergies In Cats
With so many inappropriate ingredients in cat food these days and the fact that most cats eat the same thing all the time, I’m surprised that more cats don’t have this issue. Let’s take a closer look at food sensitivities and food allergies in cats and how to eliminate them for good!
